Greetings traveler! You may be wondering how to connect your Mobius to a computer via USB so it will play the audio of your choice. We have assembled a basic guide below that should assist with this. For more in-depth connection methods and functionality we recommend this article.
To connect via USB on a Windows PC:
- Connect the proper USB cable between your Mobius and computer, and be sure Mobius is powered ON.
- Your PC may notify you of a new audio connection and automatically install any drivers needed. To be sure, open your Sound Settings and choose Headphones (Audeze Mobius 3D 8 Ch). Be sure to choose Mobius as your default device there for both input and output if you want to use Mobius’ built-in microphone.
- Also be sure to choose Mobius as your input/output device in any apps that may require it.
- Once properly configured, your audio should flow through Mobius as it would through any 8-channel audio output device.
To connect via USB on a Mac PC:
- Connect the proper USB cable between your Mobius and computer, and be sure Mobius is powered ON.
- Your Mac should recognize Mobius as an input/output device, so open your Sound Control Panel and select Audeze Mobius 3D 8 Ch as your chosen device.
- Also be sure to choose Mobius as your input/output device in any apps that may require it.
- Once properly configured, your audio should flow through Mobius as it would through any 8-channel audio output device.
If you should have a Linux-based PC, your skills will already surpass our own, so we doubt you’ve even read this far as you were most likely bored with the pedestrian nature of our previous discussion.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our excursion into basic computer USB connection.
