Greetings Traveler! To the best of our admittedly limited knowledge, a PC or Mac will only allow connection to one USB audio output device at a time, so to use more than one Mobius you'd have to go the old-fashioned 20th Century route of 3.5mm AUX from the headphone jack with a headphone splitter. In this case, you'd lose any 5.1/7.1 surround sound, but you'd still have 2-channel speaker emulation and head tracking capabilities.
Currently, it is also possible to listen to one source over multiple pairs of Mobius through Bluetooth connection on Mac OSX. Here are the instructions for doing that:
- Pair each Mobius with your computer by putting Mobius into pairing mode (double click the power button) and then locating those devices within your Bluetooth Preferences menu.
- Once your Mobiuses are successfully paired, you will need to create a Multi-Output Device in your Audio MIDI Setup utility. To do this, open your Audio MIDI Setup utility and then select the “+” symbol at the bottom left corner of the window, and select “Create Multi-Output Device.”
- Once your output device has been created, enable all paired Mobiuses by clicking the corresponding boxes under the “Use” column as indicated in the following screenshot. NOTE: If you are having issues with the audio signal drifting, please enable “Drift Correction” within the Audio MIDI Setup utility.
For a bit more detail, see the associated article here.
We have heard about techniques and devices that allow for simultaneous connection of more than one device over USB and/or Bluetooth, but we haven't successfully tested them and cannot offer support for them at this time.
Note: We also cannot provide support for connection to multiple dimensions simultaneously, but we’d love to hear about it if you’ve found a way to do so!
If you have any additional questions regarding your Mobius, please peruse the other support articles located in our Help Center. If you cannot find the answer you seek there, please feel free to contact us directly at support@audeze.com.
