Greetings Traveler! This is the most basic and simple way to connect Mobius to a source, and should work for any source that offers a 3.5mm (1/8") phono plug output. You may also connect to outputs that feature a 6.35mm (1/4") phono plug output via an appropriate adapter (not included). Simply turn your source volume to zero, plug the included 3.5mm TRRS cable into Mobius' AUX port, then connect to your device. Once connected thus with power turned on, you should hear the Gypsy Muse housed within Mobius recite "AUX." If you do not hear this and/or no audio plays after raising the source volume to a reasonable level, double click the 3D Button to toggle between input choices until you hear the Gypsy say "AUX" or audio plays as required.
Mobius is made to accept "line level" signals, which is the most common output level from computers, tablets, mobile phones, gaming consoles, etc. For use with outboard headphone amplifiers, please see the article and associated admonitions here.
The supplied four-conductor 3.5mm TRRS cable (which stands for Tip Ring Ring Sleeve, those being the four conductors of electrons required) will allow for microphone use on devices that support this activity. See the associated article for Mic use here. You may also use any standard three conductor TRS 3.5mm cable for listening, but this will eliminate the microphone option.
Note: We can't recommend the use of more than four conductors in a 3.5mm cable, as this may disrupt the space/time continuum and cause damage that isn't covered by warranty.
If you have any additional questions regarding your Mobius, please peruse the other support articles located in our Help Center. If you cannot find the answer you seek there, please feel free to contact us directly at support@audeze.com.
